Lacrosse SA is pleased to announce, on the back of the success of last year’s Grand Finals at Norwood Oval, that both the Preliminary & Grand Finals for all grades will be held at Coopers Stadium on Saturday 8th & 15th September respectively.
We acknowledge the support of the Norwood Football Club and are happy to be working with them again this year, as we look to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations and grow the history of Lacrosse at this venue, which is now well over 100 years old. Coopers Stadium is an amazing venue and provides us with and excellent opportunity to showcase our great game!
In a change to the finals structure from last year, all grades will play on the same day and the Junior season will also culminate in a joint Grand Final day. Both PF and GF days will offer a full program for the Lacrosse community, with games commencing at 8:30am, the Women’s State League played mid-afternoon, followed by the Men’s State League under lights.
Exact game times will be released in the coming weeks.
The 2018 Semi Final will be hosted by clubs following a successful tendering process.
Woodville Lacrosse Club will play host to Semi Finals for Junior Girls and Senior Women, while East Torrens Payneham Lacrosse club will be hosting Semi Finals games for Junior Boys and Senior Mens. LSA thank both clubs for their willingness to host Semi Final days and urge everyone involved to come along and support these clubs. Further information regarding Semi Finals including scheduling will be posted on the LSA website when it becomes available.
TICKETING
PRELIM FINAL DAY – Tickets and entry is via the front gates on the day, at a cost of $8.00 per person, with free entry for under 18’s, plus players and officials involved on the day.
GRAND FINAL DAY – Once again, presale Grand Final tickets will be available to purchase through clubs. starting at $10.00 for general admission. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day – $8.00 before 10:30am and $13.00 thereafter. Under 18’s & all players and officials involved on the day will once again have free entry.
We urge clubs to promote ticket sales as this is a great opportunity for clubs to fundraise on the back of the GF.

CORPORATE BOXES
The Corporate boxes proved very popular last year and will be offered for a limited time for the Grand Final, plus an offer to buy boxes for the Preliminary Final, to those who bought them last year. After the cut-off date they will be go on sale to new buyers for both the Preliminary & Grand Finals. The boxes provide premium, reserved, under cover seating with a great view of the main field. They also include a reserved car park, come with advertising on the day over the PA system, plus company logo in the program and on the big screen during the day. PROMOTION
Advertising material will be available shortly. We ask that clubs get involved in helping to promote our finals at Norwood Oval, when & wherever possible, whether they have teams involved or not, as this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase Lacrosse, at a well know and ideally located stadium. The greater the number of spectators on these days will obviously help our sport financially (as well as your club through presale tickets) and assist in growing the game.
This year’s final series is still very open. We wish all SA clubs the very best of luck in the remaining minor round games and look forward to a hard-fought finals series.
