Brighton Lacrosse Club will be celebrating its 90th year during the 2019 field competition season. To continue with our strong tradition, we have vacancies across all our Senior Men’s Coaching positions in State League, Division 1 and Division 2. Our focus is to recruit a qualified State League Men’s Coach that can continue to develop, encourage and mentor the senior men’s playing group to further on field success for our club.

 

The Brighton Lacrosse Club State League Men’s team has had much success over the last decade and beyond including winning 6 Premierships during 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016 from 10 straight grand final appearances between 2008 to 2017. While also winning three Australian Club Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

 

We aim to maintain our high-profile club in the local competition, also at a National and International Level with a significant number of current and past players of our State League team going on to represent Brighton for South Australia and Australia.

 

This role will involve developing a strong working relationship with the other senior men’s and junior boy’s coaches, to mentor and develop upcoming players. More specifically, the requirements are:

 

–        Appropriate Coaching accreditation, or willing to complete

–        Enthusiastic and Committed

–        Positive leader and good communicator

–        2 training sessions per week, Tuesday and Thursday, plus games as scheduled by Lacrosse SA

–        Honorarium paid based on ability and skill set
