Lacrosse South Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve as members of the newly established Lacrosse SA Tribunal.
The Tribunal has been established to provide an independent, fair and transparent process for determining disciplinary matters arising under the Lacrosse SA Constitution, Bylaws, Regulations, Policies and Tribunal Charter. Tribunal members will play an important role in protecting the integrity of our sport and ensuring matters are considered in accordance with the principles of procedural fairness and natural justice.
About the Role
Tribunal Members are responsible for independently considering and determining disciplinary matters referred under the Lacrosse SA governance framework.
Tribunal members do not represent clubs, teams or other stakeholders and must be able to perform their duties impartially, professionally and in the best interests of Lacrosse SA.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age,
- Be able to act independently, impartially and in the best interests of Lacrosse SA,
- Demonstrate integrity, sound judgement and professionalism,
- Be willing to maintain confidentiality, and
- Be willing to appropriately disclose and manage any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest.
Desirable Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Governance and leadership,
- Law or legal studies,
- Human resources and workplace investigations,
- Mediation and dispute resolution,
- Risk, compliance and integrity,
- Sport administration, and
- Education, management or decision-making roles.
